Great libraries build community!
Your gift provides more opportunities to read, learn, connect & create!
For more than 200 years, Monroe County Public Library has evolved to meet the changing needs of our community. You can provide critical support to the life-changing work of your public library. With your generous gift to the Friends Annual Fund Drive, the Library can:
- Provide opportunities for lifelong learning and literacy, including award-winning programs for all ages, such as the yearly Summer Reading Program
- Bring Library resources out to the community, including a new StoryWalk, an outdoor educational activity at RCA Community Park
- Expand the Library of Things collection by adding puzzles, board games, and video game controllers this year, as requested by patrons
- Inspire the joy of reading, learning, and creative expression with special exhibits at the Library. Look for Matthew Cordell’s Neighborhood on display February 3—March 23, 2025 at the Downtown Library.
- Enhance community access to library resources through Outreach services including the Bookmobile (celebrating 100 years in 2029!), Volunteers in Tutoring Adult Learners, and our House Calls service
Thank you for making an extraordinary difference in your community!
